| The Agriculture and Social Welfare and Development offices of the Negros Oriental government will conduct a training-workshop on farm production for differently-abled persons in the province, March 6 to 8.
Participants will be from clustered municipalities and cities in the three congressional districts of the province. Rep. George Arnaiz (Neg. Or. 2nd district) has allocated about P100,000 for the training.
Agriculture information officer Oliver Lemence said the training will discuss vermie culture through the use of African night crawler worms, producing fertilizer out of vermie casts, and the procedure on the production of a natural fermented pesticide and liquid fertilizers.
Lemence said the province is continuously campaigning for the organic farming system. It was the target participants who had asked for the training, to be facilitated by personnel from the Vermie Culture and Soils Laboratory Division of the Provincial Agriculture Office, he added.*MA
