PhilHealth
celebrating 13th year

BY JUANCHO GALLARDE

The PhilHealth Central Visayas office will give away  P50,000 in cash and gift items, in celebration of its 13th anniversary this year.

Its branch in Dumaguete City re-launched recently the Member-Get-Member promo where prizes are up for members who can recruit the most number of individuals into the PhilHealth's Individually-Paying Program, from January 1 to September 30.

Each calendar quarter, the top three recruiters will take home cash prizes, while another 10 will be given gift items from PhilHealth, Maritess Que, chief social insurance officer of the PhilHealth in Dumaguete, said.

Thirteen winners each from the provinces of Cebu, Bohol, Negros Oriental and Siquijor will be awarded each quarter.

The PhilHealth is hoping that barangay officials can invite and encourage their constituents to become individual-paying members of the government's health insurance program.

The IPP does not cost much, with only P300/quarter or P1,200 annually to be paid by the member, Que said.*JG
