Murder raps filed
versus RPA leader

BY GILBERT BAYORAN

Police yesterday filed murder charges against an alleged deputy commander of the Revolutionary Proletarian Army-Alex Boncayao Brigade, for the death of a civilian and the injury of his companion, in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, last month.

Supt. Harold Tuzon yesterday identified the respondent in the murder case as Charlie Boli-Boli, deputy commander of the RPA-ABB operating in the hinterland areas of San Carlos City and neighboring areas.

The incident in San Carlos City was followed by the alleged involvement of RPA-ABB member Edgar Nicor in the fatal shooting of Labor Arbiter Phibun Pura in Talisay City last week.

Police investigations show that Boli-boli who had a .45 caliber pistol, allegedly shot Romeo Bayodan at a videokee house in Brgy. Bagonbon, San Carlos City, on Jan. 11.

Bayodan was hit in the left arm, while a stray bullet hit  Dominador Gabia, causing his death, police said.

Tuzon, who is the San Carlos police chief, said their investigations also showed that it was Bayodan who was the target of Charlie, and Gabia was only hit in the crossfire.

Police investigations also showed Boli-boli was drinking when the shooting incident took place at the videokee house of Bayodan in Brgy. Bagonbon, San Carlos City.

Four empty shells of a .45 caliber pistol and a live ammunition were recovered from the crime scene.

Tuzon said the filing of an additional charges for attempted murder against Boli-boli may not be pushed through as Bayodan reportedly fled for still unknown reasons.

Investigations of the San Carlos police also showed that Bayodan had challenged Boli-boli into a fistfight two months ago, during a drinking spree.

Boli-boli is the deputy of a certain Ka Natan, commander of the RPA-ABB operating in the San Carlos City-Salvador Benedicto- Calatrava-Toboso areas, police said.

On the other hand, another RPA-ABB member identified as Arnel Nasis is also detained at the Police Station 8 Jail in Brgy. Tangub, Bacolod City, for having an unlicensed firearm on Thursday.

A .45 caliber pistol was also recovered from Nasis who is facing charges before the City Prosecutor’s Office of Bacolod City, for illegal possession of firearms.*GPB
