| The Welcome Home Foundation Inc. Ministry with the Deaf in Bacolod City will mark its 22nd Founder’s Day on Feb. 28, a press release from the foundation said.
A thanksgiving mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at the Fr. Joseph Coyle Chapel for the Deaf, at Mercury Street, Fuentebella Subdivision, in Bacolod.
This year’s theme is “A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.” The affair will highlight the pioneering efforts of the foundation to provide early education for the deaf children in Bacolod, which is supported by the community through the years, the press release said.
The following day, a tribute for co-founder of WHFI and chief executive officer, Salvacion Tinsay, will also be hosted by the foundation, the press release added.*

25 HRSC students
complete coursee
The Hotel and Restaurant Servicing Course under the Sulong Dunong Program of the DSWD-Family Life Resource Center, in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, held the graduation of its Batch 27 composed of 25 students, recently, a press release from Kabankalan said.
The class has nine scholars sponsored by the Christian Brothers based in Australia. The scholars were identified by Chona Tamang, social welfare officer.
Guest speakers at the graduation rites were Mayor Pedro Zayco Jr. and Vice Mayor Delia Anacan. Bro. Neil Langan represented the Christian Brothers Organization, the press release said.
Officers of the HRSC Batch 27 were also indicted by Councilor Jo-an Cagape, committee chairman on social services.
They are Jessie Almirante Jr., president; Daryl Faith Coleta, vice president; Michelle Rose Sandig, secretary; Jay-ann Grace Bustilo, treasurer; Romnick Matula, PIO; Christine Rose Gomez; Connie Morales, business manager; Erna Cañete, muse; and Ronal Deguit, escort.
The certificate of completion was given by John Stephen Aguirre, HRSC trainer, the press release added.*
