ESD Amor bags title in Bago
 

ESD Amor/ASSFBI decisioned NPBC BACPHIL/Tough Trucks, 512-510, in the finals to bag the crown in the Bago City Bowlers Association organized Mayor Ramon D. Torres Cup Invitational Open Bowling Tournament at the Plaza Arcade Bowling Alley in Bago City .

The champion squad under Edgar Allan Del Rosario defeated Gil Villagante's BACPHIL, thanks to the heroics of Boy Tisoy Villanueva, who sealed the victory for the ASSFBI.

Villanueva carried the scoring cudgels for the winning squad with 120 balls and Norman Pineda with 106, while Hernand Garciniego topscored for NPBC with 109 followed by Willy Mahilum and Ronnie Arroyo with 103 each.

The other members of the opposing teams were Roger Flores, Steve Ramos, Dan Dadivas and Nonoy Ayagan for ESD; Joe Latoza, Matt Gaudite and Jaime Chua, for BACPHIL.

Bago City Bowlers Association I and Duckpin Bowlers Association of Iloilo settled for second and third runners-up.

Mulo Aircon Services, BACBA II, SR Navistar, Sharp, and ESD Silverado placed fifth to ninth, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Knights of Columbus Open Bowling Tournament resumes tomorrow at the New Top's Millennium Plaza Bowling Alley in Bacolod City .

The top six teams in the men's division, with two more playing dates to go are Negros Professional Bowlers Club with 5,011; Sharp Phils., 4,990; Silverado ASSFBI, 4,881; Triple – C/ASSFBI, 4,872; ESD Brgy.I, 4,821 and Panasonic, 4,748.

Condura ASSFBI Ladies is on top in the women's department with 3,870 followed by Lady Dragon, 3,779; Panasonic, 3,743; Firefly II, 3,568, and Firefly I, 3,553.*HLG
