| Teenager Genaro “Ralph” Alvarez IV showed up the veterans in the inaugural Mayor Magdaleno Peña Under Bone Super Motard Challenge in Pulupandan town, Negros Occidental recently.
The 13-year-old sensation stole the thunder from his more illustrious rivals, topping the expert division of the event held in celebration of the annual fiesta of the town.
Trailing Alvarez were Ronald Margen, Mher Valderrama, Mark Tuvilla and Tim Gado.
Margen and Valderrama also finished 1-2 in the novice class, ahead of Jessie Rivera, Gado and Nonoy Mendoza.
The beginner's class was ruled by Jireh Ravina, followed by Jessie Rivera, John Villaruel, Valderrama and Benjie Gensoli.
Joseph Brilliantes won top honors in the first timer division with Jing Distal, Benjie Buenconsejo, Joseph Casenas and Nico Macayang placing second to fifth, respectively.
Organizing the event was the Negros Occidental Motocross Safety Association, which also announced that the next leg of the series will be held in Sagay City on May 15-16.*CPT
