Hottest trends

It was not only a night of talent and glamour, but also for a worthy cause when Mel Andrea Yanson spearheaded the first ever street fashion show in Bacolod City , recently.

The event showcased purely Philippine–made fashion accessories by renowned artists from all over the country. The show brought together 30 models from Bacolod who were presented with the season's hottest trends in fashion and accessories.

These were categorized as earth, water, fire and metal elements and plastic and recycled materials exclusively made for local collections. The event was lit up with music by DJ Christopher, while Philippine's style icon and entrepreneur Tim Yap, Pinoy's Big Brother season 1 housemate Say Alonzo, Masskara Queens Angelique Robles and Rosario Ann Sales, joined the models in the catwalk. It was a benefit show for the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital pediatric ward patients.

Society darling Ivy Visitacion was dazzling in her flaming red caftan as she recently celebrated her birthday. Dr. Ver Lacson and Mila Moya of Circulo de Bacolod threw her a party in the company of family and friends. It was a night of sumptuous food, ballroom dancing, and everyone was all ears with the latest tidbits. Mayor Bing Leonardia arrived while the party was still in high gear. Robert Harland surprised the celebrator with a big bouquet of red roses amidst birthday cheers from the guests, and it was a night of dancing!

Children from SJI celebrated the Chinese New Year with a bang. Tots were in their colorful cheongsams singing and dancing in their presentation. The kids enjoyed watching the dragon dance that capped the event.*
