ABES, Ma-ao, Bago
triumph in football tilt
 

Andres Bonifacio Elementary School shared the limelight with the Ma-ao and Bago City teams in the Central division of the NOFA Grassroots Football Festival at the Sta. Clara Subdivision football park in Bacolod City last week.

ABES-B leads the 9-Under division with 9 points, followed by ABES-A (6 points), Ma-ao-A (3) and Ma-ao-B. The ABES booters are also on top in the 13-Under division, where its top striker Joel Villacoguer has scored six goals so far.

Ma-ao paces the 11-Under category with 9 points, followed by Ma-ao D. Rey Mark Teodoro is the leading scorer for the squad with three goals.

In the girls' 15-Under event, the “B” team of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos is on top with 10 points, followed by the “C” team with eight points. Rollen Retiracion is the leading scorer with three goals.

The festival resumes today in Pulupandan town. *CPT
