CVO offers free castration
BY JUANCHO GALLARDE

The Dumaguete Veterinary Office will offer free castration of male dogs starting today up to March 28, city veterinarian Dr. Lourdes Socorro said.

The CVO said this is aimed at the increasing stray dog population, not only in Dumaguete but also in other local government units.

Socorro is urging barangay captains to report increasing dog population in their areas, and to coordinate with the CVO on activities for March as Rabies Awareness Month.

A veterinary welfare mission at the Quezon Park , Dumaguete, is scheduled in March. Services will include free deworming and treatment of dogs and cats, and free rabies vaccines.

Dog owners shall pay P100 per dog for the tags and registration, the CVO said.*JG
