Julio Roseller “Niño” Ciocon Mapa was welcomed to the Christian world in an intimate thanksgiving mass officiated by Fr. Noli Que, and baptism ceremony by Fr. Bernard Ybiernas, recently, at the Carmelite Monastery Chapel, Bacolod City .
Niño's name was derived from the blessed Sto. Niño, to whom his parents, JB and Marides Mapa, have a devotion to.
Among those present were relatives and close friends.
Julio is the second son of young entrepreneurs, and grandson of Roseller and Ditas Ciocon, and Gene Mapa.
Godparents are Gerry Mapa, Jonathan Lio, Owen Au, Junjun Arnaldo, Mark Araneta, Cesar Peralta III, RC Ciocon, Bea Cruz, Mardi Suplido, Noni Garbanzos, Malu Granada, Maridel and Patricia Ann Ciocon, Manette Mapa, Marimon and Mavis Guanzon.
Reception followed at the Don Ricardo hall of L'Fisher hotel where each table has for its centerpiece colorful balloons stuffed with toys. A short video presentation featuring precious moments of the Mapa family and their two kids, Louie and Niño, and some song numbers by their cousins, spiced up the afternoon.

Ynez Antonia, second daughter of John Gilbert and Melanny Yap-Areceo, recently had her baptism-dedication by Pastor Ben Lim at Nature's Village Hotel. Godparents were PBA star James Yap, who represented his wife, Kris Aquino, directors Lore Reyes and Peque Gallaga, Rene Hinojales, Mayor Beboy Yap, actor Epee Quizon, Diosdado Tan, Francis Arceo, Christine Uy, Alexandra Ventura and Lyn Ong.
She is the granddaughter of Emmanuel and Ma. Inez Yap and Ma. Antonia Arceo.
More than a hundred guests greeted her including Talisay City Mayor Eric and Sheila Yap.*
