Baldado hits House squabble
BY JUANCHO GALLARDE

Vice Gov. Jose Baldado expressed frustrations over the recent squabble at the House of Representatives that resulted in the ouster of Jose de Venecia as Speaker of the House, and his replacement by Davao Rep. Prospero Nograles.

Baldado said the squabble only shows the kind of political leaders we have in the Philippines . He added that he does not really care who will sit as speaker, as long as he will work for the country, and not for personal gains.

Baldado challenged national leaders to follow as examples the efforts of Negros island local officials.

He said majority of the projects like environmental protection, agriculture , water preservation and security are all done in an island-wide approach.

Baldado said Negros is unique because it has two provinces that belong to two different regions but work as one island.*JG
