A salon opening and
a garden club's trip

The grand opening and blessing of Ysabella's Beauty Haven for men and women was held recently in Bacolod City , attended by some of the beautiful people of Bacolod .

Popular Flamenco dancer Mayen Lizares and Miss National Centennial beauty queen Carmela Arcolas, the only queen who will reign for a hundred years, cut the ribbon together with cute 5-year-old Ysabella Wuthrich. Father Frank Tobin officiated at the blessing.

Ysabella's mom, Joann Visitacion, was all over the place attending to her numerous guests who sampled the services of her salon. Most of the hairstylists are from Manila and she brought them over so the ladies and even the gents of Bacolod could avail of their expertise. Kudos to Joann and Ysabella for their new project to make the people of Bacolod even more beautiful!

The Negros Occidental Garden Club had a most enjoyable trip to Iloilo , on an annual invitation of the Iloilo Garden Club. This was in time for the Candelaria Fiesta in Jaro Iloilo where a yearly Garden Show was held. The members of the club were royally welcomed by their Iloilo counterparts.

Prominent figure Dr. Chester Jardiolin, of the Iloilo Garden Club, hosted a sumptuous lunch for the delegation at his sprawling residence with its showcase garden. Iloilo 's popular Baby Certeza entertained the group with a Broadway number. Bacolod 's Edith Robillo also wowed the crowd with her song number.

Members of the Bacolod delegation had nothing but praises for their Iloilo counterparts who were invited to come to Bacolod for the next Garden Show of the club.*
