5 RTC salas vacant in NegOr

Five Regional Trial Court branches in Negros Oriental have no presiding judges, and are waiting for appointments by the President.

These are RTC Branch 31 whose presiding Judge Rogelio Carampatan retired only last month, Branch 41 Judge Araceli Alafriz who also retired in August last year, while Branch 45 Judge Ismael Baldado is due to retire in July. Branch 46 in Siquijor only has an acting judge, Roderick Maxino.

Maxino is concurrently the presiding judge of RTC Branch 32 and also designated as acting presiding judge of RTC Branch 63 in Bayawan City .

Meanwhile, RTC Branch 30 Judge Crescencio Tan Jr. is awaiting the response of the Supreme Court on whether it will allow him to hear drug cases in his sala, while serving as Regional Court Administrator in Lapu-Lapu City.*JG
