Quarantine procedure
set at airport in Silay

The Negros Occidental Veterinarian Office is conducting bio-security and quarantine procedure at the Bacolod-Silay Airport in Brgy. Bagtic, Silay City to maintain the “ FMD Free Province ” and a “Bird Flu Free Nation” status, a Capitol press release said.

Provincial veterinarian Renante Decena, the deputized quarantine inspector, has provided mats with disinfectant situated at the two entrances of the domestic and international chartered flights.

These will be maintained by the PVO to prevent the entry of diseases carried by the passengers coming from different places in the country and abroad, the press release said.

Quarantine and inspection of incoming and outgoing animals and animal products will also be observed at the airport, the press release added.*
