Lucio Tan
can be a hero

The majority of Negrenses from Bacolod to Hinobaan will be happy with the news of Mayor Bing that the tycoon Lucio Tan is willing to fund the reopening of the old Bacolod Airport . Tycoons' minds are always ahead of the ordinary folk when it comes to making money. Negros Occidental has a population big enough to support two commercial airports. His Philippine Airlines can alternately fly in both airports with more than enough passengers to make each flight financially viable.

From the propeller driven C47 to the most modern plane of PAL, I have never taken any other airline. With hundreds of trips, and with God's protection I have never met a mishap, through good weather and bad. Several times when traveling in stormy weather, I said to myself “This might be it, Lord, forgive me all my sins.” But we always come down the plane vertical not horizontal. Pal's maintenance of their planes is beyond compare.

I congratulate Mayor Bing for being a “never say die” Mayor. God bless you and more power to you to do more good to many others. Continue to make this place a better place to live in because you have passed through it. That is a mark of true success in life and you could not ask for more.
