A baby-sitter is now in jail and with charges against her for violation of RA 7610, or the Child Abuse Act, for allegedly molesting a two-year girl recently in Sipalay City , Negros Occidental.

The suspect who is allegedly a “tomboy” is accused of inserting her finger in the genital area of the child on Jan. 29, and this had caused infections.

Police said the alleged molestation took place while parents of the victim were in Iloilo .

The mother of the victim, a midwife, said she noticed lacerations and infections in the genital area of her child. This was confirmed by two doctors who examined the minor, she added.

The suspect has been serving as baby-sitter to a 12-month-old child, the younger brother of the victim, for almost six months now.*GPB
