355 employed
abroad through PESO
 

Three hundred fifty-five workers from Bacolod City were hired for jobs abroad through its Public Employment Service Office as of Jan. 31, 2008 .

The PESO also facilitated the employment of 6,091 local workers.

Under the Tulay 2000 program, 180 differently-abled workers in the city were also employed.

Of the 355 workers sent abroad, 185 were males and 170 were females. For the local employment, hired were 2,436 men and 3,655 women. The Tulay 2000 employed 100 men and 80 women.

In January, PESO was booked with principals looking for employees. These include LWV Construction Corp., Jan. 3 to 5; SK Manpower Consultant, Jan. 8 to 10; Jedegal Int'l. Manpower Services, Inc., Jan. 7 to 11 ; STD Overseas Manpower Services Inc., Jan. 14 to 16;

A & C Int'l. Resources Inc., Jan. 15 to 18; Pisces International Placement, Jan. 21 to 22; SK Manpower Consultant, Jan. 23 to 25; Lead Resources Mgt. Corp., Jan. 23 to 26; Eastwest Placement Center, Jan. 26 to 27; and A & C Int'l. Resources Inc., Jan. 29 to 30.*
