WNC-A captured the women's crown, followed by Bago City College-C, Bago City College-B and USLS-Nursing 2C.
NOVA president Roger Banzuela said the festival that drew more than 1,000 students is the biggest in the Philippines . He also said that NOVA, which is celebrating its 30 th anniversary this year, will stage another festival, this time, for elementary students.
“This is a good way to promote volleyball in the grassroots level,” he said, adding that this is in line with the thrust of the International Volleyball Federation and the Philippine Volleyball Federation. “It's also a good recreational activity”.
The La Salle field, which is usually used for football games, was transformed into a 35 park volley courts for the festival.
The event marks the third time that a park volleyball festival was held in the Philippines , after the same activity was staged at the Luneta Park four years ago, Banzuela said. A similar event was also held in Leyte .*CPT
