Three teams representing Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports Cultural and Educational Association leave for Iloilo City today to see action in the Western Visayas PRISAA Meet.

The NOPSSCEA athletics, football and swimming teams will begin their campaigns on Tuesday in Iloilo. The rest of the events are set in Kalibo, Aklan starting Feb. 7.

Iloilo meets Antique in men's football this afternoon at the Iloilo Sports Complex pitch to usher in hostilities in the Games that will run until Feb. 11.

NOPSSCEA is defending champion in men's football, where it will be represented by five-time defending champion West Negros College and reinforced by University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos. The booters begin their quest on Tuesday.

Also hoping to keep its title is the women's athletics team. The men's squad, meanwhile, is seeking redemption from its disappointing output last year just like the men and women's swimming squads.

The Kalibo-bound NOPSSCEA delegation will leave Bacolod on Tuesday morning, NOPSSCEA Sports Task Force chairman Roger Banzuela said. *CPT
