Solon asked to follow
up GMA pledge

Rep. Henry Pryde Teves (NegOr, 3rd district) has assured Gov. Emilio Macias II, Friday, he will remind President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo of her promise of P150 million in assistance during her recent visit to the province.

Arroyo had pledged P100 million for the completion of a government hotel in Negros Oriental, and P50 million for the acquisition of a Magnetic Resonance Imaging system to improve the capability of the provincial diagnostic center for people needing health services.

During his first State of the Provincial Address Thursday, Macias requested Teves to lobby with the President.

The solon assured that he and the two other congressmen from Negros Oriental – Josy Limkaichong (1 st district) and George Arnaiz (2 nd district) will be one in every undertaking, along with other members of the Visayas bloc.*JG
