Jobs abroad offered

Jobs abroad will be offered in separate recruitment activities of the Bacolod city government and the Negros Occidental provincial government this month.

The Bacolod Public Employment Services Office said the A.D.M. International Manpower will conduct interviews starting today until Feb. 9 and on Feb. 11 and 12 for job vacancies in Kuwait .

Positions available are: 150 nursing aides, 500 nurses, 10 VIP nurses, 20 physiotherapists, 15 nurse assistants, 20 ambulance drivers and 20 beauticians/barbers.

On Feb. 12, a representative of the Ministry of Health of Kuwait will be in Bacolod to interview applicants and to administer tests to health professionals.

Meanwhile, on Feb. 8 and 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 a.m. , the provincial government, in cooperation with OTA International Promotions and Manpower Corp., will conduct a special recruitment activity at the Negros Occidental Technology and Livelihood Development Center for applicants for domestic helpers in Hong Kong .

Applicants must be 23 to 40 years old, hard working, and able to speak and understand English. They will have the chance to earn as much as 3,480 Hong Kong dollars or P 26,000 a month.

Requirements are passport, 2x2 picture, diploma, and transcript of records. Ex-abroad applicants may bring their old passport and photos with their former employers or their children.
