Bacolod City will be featured as one of the “next wave cities” for business process outsourcing in the 8th e-Services Philippines Global Sourcing Conference and Exhibition on Feb. 11 to 12 at the SMX Convention Center in Manila .
The city's participation in the e-Services Philippines , the Department of Trade and Industry's annual international exhibit and conference for the ICT industry, has been approved by Mayor Evelio Leonardia, Councilor Jocelle Batapa-Sigue, chairperson of the Bacolod-Negros Occidental Federation for Information and Communications Technology, said. 


Viva Films seeking
investors for IPO
Entertainment production company Viva Communications Inc. is seeking investors in Bacolod City for its initial public offering of common shares on Feb. 20 to 27.
Viva, led by its chairman Vic del Rosario, held an IPO roadshow at the L'Fisher Hotel Thursday, with Eduardo Francisco, president BDO Capital and Investment Corp., Viva's lead underwriter for the offering.
“We want it (the IPO) to be broad-based that's why we chose Bacolod in addition to Davao and Cebu ,” Francisco said. 


Jobs abroad offered
at City Hall, Capitol
Jobs abroad will be offered in separate recruitment activities of the Bacolod city government and the Negros Occidental provincial government this month.
The Bacolod Public Employment Services Office said the A.D.M. International Manpower will conduct interviews starting today until Feb. 9 and on Feb. 11 and 12 for job vacancies in Kuwait .
Positions available are: 150 nursing aides, 500 nurses, 10 VIP nurses, 20 physiotherapists, 15 nurse assistants, 20 ambulance drivers and 20 beauticians/barbers.
