P12.5M derby qualifiers
 

Five entries collected two wins in the two-cock elimination phase at the Talisay City Negros Cockers Cockpit.

The elimination determines qualifiers for the 12.5 million Bong Pineda 9-Cock Rambulan Derby to be held at San Juan Coliseum in Metro Manila.

Unscathed in the first day of elimination were Morito Gracia and Dodoy Pisuena combined MR; Reygan Batika of Rey Ilagan; Nestor Sumagpao's Franelan Star; Amy BB Peanuts, of Freddie Yulo, and Roy Stingray, of Gerry Genito.

BNL/OBY/Anggok posted one win and a draw.

The second set of competitors will see action on Feb. 8. The 3-cock semi-final round is set Feb.16 at the same venue.

Entries which scored perfect five, 4.5 and four points will be given a one-way ticket for two to Manila to compete in the 4-cock championship rounds in April.

At stake for the winners is P12.5 million guaranteed prize, plus a Toyota Vios for the fastest kill prize on the final day.

Meanwhile, Lusok will be held at the TCNC cockpit every Saturday starting Feb.2. Seventy percent of the proceeds will be given back to cock owners, as participants rebate to those who will join the event.

The fastest kill after 10 fights will receive a prize of P5,000; second, P3,000, and third, P2,000. Registration fee is P500.*HLG
