TeleTech awarded
‘oustanding employer’

TeleTech has been named anew "Outstanding Employer" of the year by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority, the business process outsourcing company said in a press release yesterday.

PEZA confers the award to a locator that generates the most number of jobs, holds high regards for the welfare of workers and continually maintains harmony between labor and management. The award is based on the size and stability of the company, commitment to the welfare of employees, and contribution to the Philippines.

TeleTech said that in terms of size, it is now the country's largest BPO company, having more than 16,000 across its 12 delivery sites nationwide, including Bacolod and Iloilo.

Maulik Parekh, TeleTech general manager and senior vice president for Asia, said that beyond the size, their singular focus is on employee welfare through their world-class facilities, fun working environment, and exceptional career development program.

Among its professional development programs are the upGRADe program which  gives its  employees a chance to get MBA degrees while working, and the  Leadership Excellence and Achievement Program which equips employees with leadership and management skills necessary for their journey up the BPO ladder, the press release added.*
