| The P12.15-million legislative building of Negros Oriental was inaugurated recently in rites led by Gov. Emilio Macias II, Vice Gov. Jose Baldado and members of the Provincial Board.
The structure will house the offices of the three representatives of the province, the Vice Governor and Provincial Board Members and records staff, and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall.
Macias thanked former governor, now Rep. George Arnaiz (NegOr, 2nd district), for initiating the project, whose construction had been delayed by budget constraints.
He called the Legislative Building the “voice of people” of Negros Oriental, and said he hoped that, through it, legislators will be inspired to work more and make the area a market place of ideas.*MA
