‘Ate’ red carpet
premier April 19
Sexy stars Ara Mina and Christine Reyes will attend the Red Carpet Premier of their movie “Ate” on April 19, at the Southwing Cinema One of SM City Bacolod, a press release from the management said.
The siblings will meet their fans at 4 p.m. at the Northwing Event Centre of the mall, followed by a press conference. The movie premier will start at 8 p.m.
“Ate” tells the story of Helen (Ara Mina) and Dave (Paolo Paraiso) who have been married for five years and are dealing with her inability to get pregnant, the press release said.
Helen is being pursued by Lex (Ian Veneracion), an ex-boyfriend, while Cleo (Christine Reyes) is seeing her boyfriend Migo, a charming but spoiled rich kid, the press release said.
Lore Reyes, after 10 long years of being absent from movie directing, returns to filmmaking with "Ate", the press release added.*

Rotarians hold gab
The Rotary Club International held its 2008 District Conference in Bacolod City on the theme "Rediscover Bacolod" recently, a City Hall press release said.
Mayor Evelio Leonardia welcomed delegates from 13 provinces of Western Visayas and Western Mindanao and updated them on developments in the city.
