Franco up for transfer
BY GILBERT BAYORAN

Region 6 police director Isagani Cuevas yesterday confirmed that Senior Supt. Rosendo Franco, provincial police director of Negros Occidental, is due for another assignment.

Cuevas, however, said Franco is waiting yet for the approval of his transfer.

Franco admitted in an interview with Bombo Radyo that he is up for re-assignment because of his promotion.

“Everybody is aspiring for a promotion”, he said.

Franco who has served one year and six months as provincial police director of Negros Occidental, however, said he does not know yet when he will be transferred.

Director Geary Barias yesterday said Franco is eyeing a police unit in Metro Manila, which is under the National Capital Region Police Office.

Franco had served as police chief in Cubao, Quezon City and in Pasay before he was designated as the provincial police director of Negros Occidental in September 2006, police records show.*GPB
