leaves for Zambo Sunday

BY CEDELF TUPAS

The Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports Cultural and Educational Association contingent will leave for Zamboanga City tomorrow night in time for the National Private Schools Athletic Association Meet set April 8-13.

Roger Banzuela, chairman of the NOPSSCEA sports task force, yesterday said Negros Occidental athletes, coaches and officials will join their Iloilo PRISAA teammates in Iloilo City, where they will board a ferry bound for Zamboanga at 10 p.m. tomorrow.

NOPSSCEA will have more athletes than Iloilo in representing the Western Visayas contingent, owing to its collection of 13 titles in the Regional PRISAA Meet in Kalibo, Aklan held last February.

The Negrenses will banner the Western Visayas bid in women’s volleyball, men’s basketball, men and women’s table tennis, men and women’s taekwondo, men and women’s chess, men’s badminton, women’s athletics, women’s lawn tennis and men’s football.*CPT
