The Couples for Christ-Negros Oriental chapter will host the “Disciples Weekend” for members from the entire Visayas area April 12 to 13 at the Negros Oriental Convention Center in Dumaguete City.

It will highlight the gathering of CFC leaders in the Visayas on the  theme  “Love One Another As I have Loved You”, Negros Oriental CFC provincial director Raymund Mercado said yesterday.

He said the Central Visayas Disciples Weekend covers the neighboring islands of Cebu, Siquijor and Bohol.  Some delegates from the provinces of Iloilo, Negros Occidental and other parts of Western Visayas will also attend.

Speakers at the annual conference of CFC leaders and members will share experiences about discipleship and the commitment of CFC to work with the Catholic church.

International director Joe Tale of the CFC said the CFC, a Catholic renewal movement that started in 1981,  is now present in 160 countries. In Negros Oriental, the group was founded in 1989.*MA
