| Caravan vs. STL
start of protests
BY NIDA BUENAFE & CHRYSEE SAMILLANO
A caravan spearheaded by the Catholic Lay Forum against the operation of the Small Town Lottery in Bacolod City passed through the main streets of the city yesterday as the group remained firm on its stand against STL.
Meanwhile, Councilor Jocelle Batapa-Sigue yesterday had to rescind her proposed resolution calling for the deferment of STL operation in the city after some Sangguniang Panlungsod members cited her absence from last week's session when the STL endorsement was deliberated.
Vehicles from different parishes in the diocese including that of Bishop Vicente Navarra and the members of the clergy joined the caravan that passed twice in front of city hall.
