Housewife gang-raped;
hubby hogtied, mauled

A 25-year-old housewife was gang-raped yesterday by three unidentified armed men in Brgy. Minoyan , Murcia , in the presence of her husband and their 2 and 4-year-old children.

The husband was hogtied and blindfolded.

A Murcia police report said the three suspects took turns for almost two hours in molesting the victim, whose identity is being withheld.

The victim, her husband and two children, were sleeping when the suspects who were wearing bonnets and armed with handguns, barged into their residence at about 1 a.m. yesterday.

The victim told the Murcia police that her husband was mauled by the suspects, while their children were crying.

The house of the victim is located in a mountainous village of Brgy . Minoyan , Murcia , and their nearest neighbor lives almost a kilometer away.

The husband of the victim, whose identity is also being withheld, told the police he can identify one of the suspects through his voice, which is familiar to him.

The suspects warned the couple not to report the incident to the police.

The Murcia police advised the couple not to return to their home, while the ongoing pursuit operations for the suspects are being conducted by the Murcia police.

Meanwhile, a farm laborer was found dead yesterday by his neighbors in Brgy. Dulao, Bago City .

The victim identified as Rommel Malimbat, 34, had three gunshot wounds on his back and head.

The Bago police are still investigating his death.*GPB
