| The Lamberto Macias Sports and Cultural Center in Dumaguete City will undergo major repair soon, Negros Oriental sports coordinator Ernesto Ravello said yesterday.
Ravello said the maple wood flooring of the 14-year-old facility needs repair. The materials estimated to cost P4 million will be purchased in the United States .
He added that they are processing documents for the repair as well as looking for fund sources.
The possibility of putting up a huge television screen was also discussed by Gov. Emilio Macias II but this will depend on the availability of funds, Ravello said.
Meanwhile, another Philippine Basketball Association game is being eyed at the sports center, after the match between Talk ‘n Text and Purefoods recently.
Board of management chairman Glynda Descuatan said with facilities and an organized board of management, they are optimistic that the next PBA game will be held at the LMSCC early next year, possibly between the Ginebra and San Miguel squads.*JG
