Mango confab set
Nov. 21-23 in Tagaytay

The 9th Mango Congress will be held on November 21 to 23 at the Development Academy of the Philippines Conference Center in Tagaytay City .

The event, organized by the Cavite Mango Growers Multi-Purpose Cooperative, will focus on the various industry aspects, including agriculture, chemicals, food and beverage, packaging and paper.

It will also tackle products and services aspects such as fresh and process products; fertilizers, pesticides and fungicides; and extension of credit to growers, processors and exporters.

The National Mango Congress in the Philippines is an annual gathering of various stakeholders of the mango industry where participants discuss the latest technologies in producing, harvesting, marketing and selling fresh mango fruits and processed mango products.

This year's theme will be "Meeting the Challenges of the Expanding Local and Global Market."

Expected to attend are mango growers, input suppliers, buyers/traders, contract sprayer/service providers, financiers/investors, processors, exporters, scientists/researchers, and national and local government officials.

Topics will range from the latest techniques and technologies in the production and production inputs, post-harvest and processing, market development and market information and institutional linkages.*NLG
