Former land
surveyor found dead
BY PATRICK PANGILINAN

A former land surveyor believed to be suffering from a heart problem, was found dead in his house in Bacolod City yesterday, the police said.

Initial police investigation showed that the body of Francisco Clemente, 60, was found in his house at San Dionisio Subdivision, Brgy. Granada , in the city, after neighbors complained of the stench coming from the house at noon yesterday.

The body was already decomposing when it was discovered, the police said.

Reports said Clemente, a former land surveyor for the Department of Public Works and Highways, may have had a stroke three to four days ago and may have been alone in his house during the incident.

Clemente may have tried to got up from his bed before he died as indicated by the position of his body when authorities found him, the police said.

Investigators are still determining what caused Clemente's death, the police added.*PP
