| Four persons, including two minors, survived after the house they were in was hit by lightning in Brgy. Hilamonan, Kabankalan City , Wednesday.
One of the survivors identified as Rodrigo Bernabe, 18, sustained severe burns in the different parts of his body, the police said yesterday.
RJ Baja, 9, Daylen Diaz, 15, and Antonio Diaz, 48, sustained minor burns.
All four are being treated at the Kabankalan District Hospital .
Chief Inspector Calixto Mabugat, Kabankalan police chief, reported to Senior Supt. Rosendo Franco, provincial police director, that the victims were in the house of Bernabe, when it was hit by lightning.
Meanwhile, Franco said the celebration of All Saint's Day in Negros Occidental on Nov. 1 was relatively peaceful, except for a stabbing incident in Himamaylan City .
Initial police investigations showed that a certain Erwin Galleto, 45, was stabbed allegedly by Marcelo Genova in Brgy. Mambagaton, Himamaylan City .
Chief Inspector Armando Tubongbanua, Himamaylan police chief, told Franco that Galleto was declared dead on arrival at the Governor Valeriano Gatuslao Memorial Hospital .
Genova who surrendered to PO2 Robert Moreno of the Himamaylan police is now in jail.*GPB
