SBP, passerelle Visayas tilts on
FALCONS GUN FOR 2 CROWNS
BY CEDELF TUPAS

St. John's Institute guns for two basketball titles this weekend when its high school and elementary basketball teams see action in the Milo SBP and Passerelle Visayas finals at the West Negros College Gym in Bacolod City .

The schedules of the games had yet to be determined as of press deadline pending the draw slated late yesterday.

The Falcons, who ruled the SBP provincial eliminations with a repeat victory over the University of St. La Salle in the finals, will go up against Ateneo De Iloilo and Sacred Heart School of Cebu City in their division.

SJI coach Arvin Gustilo expressed optimism of a strong showing for his team, which finished third last year.

Gustilo said he remains upbeat despite the injury to top gun Kenneth De Leon, who is still practicing with the team with an injured finger.

Gustilo will also lean on Joshua Chua, Joshua Co, Emilio Japson, Julian Yusay and Zoey Pandan for offensive firepower and defensive strength.

Mentored by Elvis Atinado, SJI will also have its hands full in the passerelle division, where it will collide with powerhouse Iloilo Commercial Central High School and Cebu-based Sacred Heart.

SJI dethroned USLS to qualify in the passerelle division with Ramon Khey, Charles Del Castillo and provincial MVP Allen Dionela, spearheading the charge. *CPT
