set pace in trio tourney

Panasonic posted a game-high 1,050 pinfalls to stay on top in the men's division, while ON-BACIBA I grabbed the lead in the women's bracket with 973 balls in the Sharp Phils. Open Trio Friendship Club Bowling Tournament at the New Top's Millennium Plaza in Bacolod City.

With two more outings to go, Panasonic, led by Rey Gargar, leads the 16-team pack with 7,803 pinfalls, while Cora Romero's ON-BACIBA tallied 5,565. Occupying the second and third spots are Sharp Phils. and ESD Triple-C with 7,038 and 6,994 apiece. Mulo Aircon Services I is in fourth with 6,961 pinfalls, followed by Barangay I/ASSFBI, 6,956; Negros Professional Bowlers Club/MJS, 6,938; Silverado ASSFBI, 6,880; Davies Paint, 6,832; Hurricane, 6,749; Mulo Aircon II, 6,747; Alimon Urban Knights, 6,736; Sharp Kamikaze, 6,730; Amor ASSFBI, 6,695; BACBA, 6,664; K of C NEMA, 6,578, and 6,356.

Panasonic and Silverado's records in team triple and single are intact at 1,104 and 415, respectively. Steve Ramos, of Triple-C Dental Laboratory registered the new record in the individual single and triple with 171 and 401 pinfalls, as Irwin Mazarte, of Brgy. I holds the highest pinning mark at 94 in the men's category.

Cora Romero, of ON-BACIBA and Cecil Biendo, of Lady Dragon holds the women's single and triple mark with 159 and 384 balls, as Nita Biasca, of RR Pincrushers is tops in pinning with 95. Action resumes at six tonight.* HLG
