Negrenses killed in separate shootings Three
persons were killed in shooting incidents in Hinigaran, Don Salvador Benedicto
and in Victorias City in Negros Occidental, police said yesterday.
The victims were identified as Henry Danayon, Roberto Benares and Joel Omandac.
Police said Danayon, a resident of Moises Padilla town, was shot allegedly by
Jorge Eranala on May 28 in Brgy. Palayog, Hinigaran. He suffered two fatal gunshot
wounds in the head. Omandac, on the other hand, was shot
allegedly by Julius Belleza with a .45 caliber pistol in Brgy. Bunga, Don Salvador
Benedicto. The victim who suffered multiple gunshot wounds
was declared dead on arrival at the San Carlos City District Hospital, police
also said. Meanwhile, a certain Robert Carlosita was tagged
as a suspect in the shooting of Benares in Brgy. 9, Victorias City, which was
allegedly triggered by a love triangle. Carlosita died on
the way to the Ika-ayong Lawas Foundation in Victorias City. The shooting incidents
are still being investigated by the police, while the three suspects are still

houses in Bata robbed Two houses in neighboring
puroks in Brgy. Bata, Bacolod City, were robbed by unidentified persons yesterday,
the police said. Junelyn Sevillo told the police that an
unidentified person broke into her house in Purok Mahimayaon, Brgy. Bata and took
her three cellphones at about 5:45 a.m. yesterday. Police
records showed that the person who took Sevillo's Nokia 6600, 3310, and 6030 cellphones
entered the house by detaching five jalousie blades from the window. Abraham Barizo,
24, also reported to Police Station 2 that an unidentified person entered his
residence in Purok Masinadyahon, Brgy. Bata and took his cellphone and wallet
at about 3 a.m. yesterday. Barizo said that the thief also
detached two jalousie blades from his bathroom window, and took his Nokia 1100
cellphone and his wallet containing P1,500 in cash and his SSS and Philhealth
cards, police records showed. The police said that they are

Man files mauling
complaint For failing to pay his debt, a man was
mauled and his three-month-old baby hit in Bacolod City Monday, police reports
said. The complainant, who requested anonymity, told the police
that a certain "Baby" punched him on the left side of his face and hurt the baby
he was carrying, when he failed to pay the money he had borrowed, police records
showed. The man said "Baby" tried to get, as payment for
his debt, his cellphone and that the suspect punched him when he refused. This
happened in his house at about 7:30 p.m. Monday, at Tindalo St., Brgy. Villamonte,
Bacolod City. The police are still investigating the incident.*PP
