Rivalry intensifies
in BUS cagefest

Bacolod Professionals will have a chance to avenge their loss to Basketball Unified Sports Group team "A" when they clash for the championship of BUS Group 38-Above Invitational tournament on Sunday at Lopue's South Square gym.

BAPRO blasted Pueblo Rosario Athletic Club, 83-58 to arrange a winner take all final against the host which downed BUS "B" 79-66 in the crossover semifinal last Sunday.

Ronald Gustilo scored 12, Shad Guanzon 11, Nap Ledesma and Rommel Teruel hit 10 apiece to pace BAPRO. PRAC's Noel Sause and Jack Palermo combined for 25 points but the rest of Eroreco homeowners failed to back up the duo. BAPRO led 42-19 at half and never let up.

All BUS "A" players scored led by Nene Sibaya's 13 and Edgar Espares' 10 while "B" team got 18 from Reynaldo Valencia, 12 from Abet Jarder and 10 from Arturo Tomaro.

BAPRO lost 65-71 and 80-82 to BUS "A" in the eliminations and will try to snatch the title and avenge its title loss to the same team when BAPRO played host at La Herencia early this year. Game time is set at 4:30 p.m. preceded by PRAC-BUS "B" tussle for third place at 3:00 p.m. on May 20.*
