CENRO joins
bio-diversity celebration

Bacolod City will join the worldwide International Day for Biological Diversity celebration on the theme "Biodiversity and Climate Change," on May 22, a press release from the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office said yesterday.

The event coincides with the World Environment Day theme of climate change. CENRO Bacolod City will hold biodiversity conservation activities this month, including a Lakbay-Aral by in Guimaras on May 17 to 18, to observe efforts to rehabilitate the oil-spill affected foreshore and mangroves areas and to learn its effects to biodiversity, OIC-CENRO Joan Nathaniel Gerangaya said in the press release.

They will also visit the Lombija Farm and Wildlife Sanctuary, a world-class wildlife sanctuary and botanical garden, to learn different practices of wildlife conservation and breeding, the press release added.*
