An alleged leader of an administration party candidate was mauled, boxed and kicked by irate bystanders for imitating and singing a Victor Wood hit song near the polling place after casting his vote, Monday, in Barangay Manluminsag, Bacong, Oriental Negros.

Treated for several wounds and contusions was Eddie Dumahil, 55, of Manluminsag and an alleged leader of the administration party candidates.

Investigations revealed that as he walked away after casting his vote, Dumahil sang a Victor Wood song, and this angered Cleberto Sanoy who confronted him angrily for imitating Wood. The victim said he was just "joking."

Rommel Callora then boxed and kicked Dumahil who said he was able to run away and go to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.*RG
