shoplifted more than P4,000 in assorted items from a boutique at SM City Bacolod,
the police said. Joemil Cabrera, 31, Analyn Diaz, 23, both
of Brgy. Bahit, and Gina de la Torre, 24, of Brgy. Tabok Sur, all in Brgy. Panit-an,
Capiz, were endorsed by Julius Rainier Estares and Joenary Paulan to Police Station
1 for allegedly taking shirts and underwear from Mainstream Business Inc. at about
1 p.m. Saturday. Recovered from the suspects were one gray
traveling bag worth P399.75, one Sorella bra worth P109.75, a cap worth P399.75,
a P499.75 long-sleeved shirt, and a P649.75 shirt, police records showed. Five
packs of chocolate bars worth P1,238.75, five pairs of underwear worth P143.75,
and P659.50 worth of two ladies' shirts were also recovered from Cabrera, Diaz,
and de la Torre, police reports said. Estares, 35, the shop
supervisor, told the police he asked for assistance from Paulan, 36, a guard at
the mall, when the three suspects went out of the store with the items without
paying for them. Diaz and de la Torre both refused to answer
questions from the DAILY STAR while Cabrera said that he just waited for them
outside the boutique and did not take any of the items. The
police said, the business establishment will probably file charges against them.*PP
