Entrepreneurial flair
A special-one-night party called Back 2 Love held at North, was
attended by over a thousand party nocturnals from Bacolod, Dumaguete
and even Iloilo who danced the night away until the wee hours of
the morning to the music of Manila's top DJ Martin Pulgar from Club
Embassy and the OnWire Band. It was organized by the entrepreneurship
students of La Salle, an event management activity project of seven
La Sallians in the class of Maribel Imutan. Headed by Pia Yanson,
the groupmates are Miren Valencia, Christopher Gavieta and Mark
Locsin, Mark Melivo and Xavier Lim and Andrew Uy. Present were their
teachers Maribel Imutan, Louis Gonzaga, Claro Zubia, Ernesto Suplido,
Karen Herida. The group thanked teachers Nonong Jamora and Erenator
Banas for their support.

The graduation ceremonies of Trinity Christian School was held
at the school auditorium, Monday. One of the most awarded students
was Ivana Abigail Navarro, daughter of John and Marijo Navarro,
who was first honorable mention, a silver awardee for Chinese, a
Diligence award for being consisted in her scholastic records, NCAE
award, Sports award and a certificate for good moral character.
She was the only student to get a 99 plus percentile (excellent)
in the NCAE, given to all high school graduating students all over
the Philippines. She plans to be an international auditor someday
while having a doctorate degree in Business Management and Marketing.
She thanks God for her achievements, as ever since her elementary
years, she had been class valedictorian. Her second cousin, Pia
Yanson, the better half of Leo Rey Yanson, graduated cum laude at
La Salle and received an award for Academic Excellence. She is the
daughter of Romy and Antonette Lizaraga Ortaliz.*
