Domestic sugar
prices drop slightly

Millgate prices of domestic or "B" sugar dropped slightly this week, although prices still remain above the P1,000 per 50-Lkg level.

Data provided by the Sugar Masterplan Foundation show that prices this week range from P1,050.05 to P1,110 per Lkg while last week, from P1,043.76 to P1,120 per Lkg.

Bais, which disposed its stocks last week at the lowest price of P1,043.76, did not take part in this week's bidding, but Passi I, Passi II and Pilar are back this week. For the current week, Binalbagan-Isabela Sugar Company sold its stocks at P1,064.89 (high) and P1,061 (low), for a total volume of 14,445.22 Lkgs.;
