Their prom night
All the guests came dressed to the nines, sparkling with heirloom
jewelries. Dubbed "Night of the Stars" as the children of Negros
began the night with style as they entered L'Fisher Hotel and trod
on red carpet
Prepared to perfection by the students, under the guidance of
their parents, it was a night worth remembering, and said to be
one of the most unforgettable and impressive prom nights of La Salle.
The ballroom of the hotel was a sight to behold, showing Hollywood
grandeur! Hosted by Mel Yanson and Mike Poblador, the prom featured
Swing, Reggae and Samba dance numbers, which easily replaced the
conventional Waltz. In this prom, the young men and women were all
considered Prom Kings and Queens, with each of them receiving an
"Oscar Trophy," a lifetime memento of their night. Seen busy helping
out was the working committee composed of the mothers of the students,
headed by Emily Yanson-Ramos, mom of batch governor Ina Ramos and
secretary-treasurer Ica Ramos, and Ginette Yanson-Dumancas.
Also present was Tippin Gonzaga, daughter of former Bacolod Mayor
Rematche Parreņo in full support for her son, Luigi Amadeus Parreņo
Gonzaga, whose gorgeous date was Angela de los Santos, granddaughter
of former Isabela Mayor Jose Moises.*
