NPBC tops Bago City bowlfest

Negros Professional Bowlers Club/LJP Trading captured the Bago City Bowlers Association-organized Open Trio Bowling Championship Saturday night at the Plaza Arcade Alley in Bago City.

The NPBC LJP pinshooters, decisioned elimination round topnotcher, Amor/Active Solid Strikers Fellowship Bowlers, 345-343 to bag the crown.

Carrying the colors for the champion squad headed by Gil Villagante were Matt Gaudite, Hernand Garciniego and Willy Mahilum, while Dan Dadivas, Steve Ramos, Ronnie Arroyo, and Roger Flores played for Amor.

Before earning the right to face ASSFBI, the champion team stopped BACBA I composed of Joel Basiao, Edito Acojedo and Rene Bustamante, in the semifinals, 333-327.

The NPBC chargers were leading in the first three games with a total collection of 984 pinfalls, but slowed down in the fourth game allowing the Amor group to snatch the No.1 spot.

The other teams who participated but failed to make it in the top three were Barangay I ASSFBI/Triple-C, Sharp Phils., Mulo Aircon Services I, ESD Silverado, Mulo Aircon II, BACBA II and BACBA III.*HLG
