Serondo in, Diploma out in
UNA board member list
BY CARLA GOMEZ

Gov. Joseph Maraņon yesterday bared a partial list of the United Negros Alliance candidates for the second district of Negros Occidental in the May polls.

Rep. Alfredo Maraņon III will seek reelection as congressman of the district, and UNA is fielding Miller Serondo and Gary Acuņa for the two seats of the second district on the provincial board. Serondo, who used to sit on the provincial board as president of the Philippine Councilors League of Negros Occidental, is currently on his third term as councilor of Sagay City, so he is running for board member in this election, Maraņon said.

Serondo replaces Board Member Corazon Diploma on the UNA slate.

Maraņon said Mayor Salvador Escalante will seek reelection in Cadiz City and Manuel Escalante in Manapla.

Sagay Mayor Leo Rafael Cueva will make an announcement soon, he added.*CPG
