Malan scores quick
victory in Talisay tilt

Norberto Malan registered the quickest win, stopping Nuel Angcay of Cabatangan-B in a 30-kg. clash that highlighted the First Doc Eric Inter-Barangay Amateur Boxing Tournament in Talisay City Sunday.

Malan won via referee-stopped-contest, outclassed with 18 seconds left in the first round.

In other matches, Kenneth Estor of Zone 16 scored a second-round stoppage over Rogelio Consermon of Zone 12-A with 20 seconds remaining into the second round of their 42-kg match. Steven Servento of Zone 14-A defeated Anthony Natial of Efigenio Lizares 44 seconds into round two in another 30 kg. duel. Meanwhile, Carmelo Bermejo of Zone 12-A was declared the winner when he outscored Billy Joe Lozano in the 26 kg. division while Zone 1 pug Raymund Nalaunan triumphed over Cabatangan A contender Jonie Palma in the 30 kg. hostilities also by points.

In the 34 kg. division, Rizaldy Flores from Zone 10 edged Aries Honecillo of Dos Hermanas. while Alfredo Bernardo of Zone 15 bowed to Joebert Francisco in the 36 kg. bracket.

Abelardo Segador of Zone 2 defeated Rogelio Espartero of Cabatangan A on points in the 38 kg. division, while Aljun Tiobesio from Cabatangan A beat Rogie Francisco of Matab-ang A in the 40 Kg. category.

Zone 5 boxer Emmanuel Braza trounced Johary Bilbar of Cabatangan A, before Raymund Intal of Zone 3 outscored Jose Dator of E. Lizares A in the 48 kg. bracket.

Richard Aporong of Concepcion also prevailed against Cristel John Robles of Zone 16 in the 48 kg. division.* PP
