Couple lose
valuables to robbers

A German national and his Filipina girlfriend lost a passport, money and valuables Friday to unidentified robbers in their rented cottage at the Apo View Beach Resort, in Sitio Malatapay, Zamboanguita, Oriental Negros.

Resort owner Nenita Munz reported the incident to the police provincial headquarters in Agan-An Sibulan. She identified the victims a Christian Coppel, 38, a German national and Maria Loit Hurreda, of legal age, from lower Tawala, Panglaw, Bohol. Investigation by the Zamboanguita police disclosed that the couple went to the resort canteen for supper at around 9 p.m. and discovered the theft upon their return to their cottage.

The couple reported the following missing items: one MP3 player worth P6,000; Olympus Digital camera worth P20,000; a black wallet containing P6,000; 200 Euro credit card, EC Card, international drivers license, ID card and passport of Coppel; 2 units Sony Ericson cellphones with camera; orange back-pack containing assorted pants and T-shirts; electric shaver, cellphone chargers, roundtrip fast craft tickets for Tagbilaran-Dumaguete; a red wallet of Hurreda containing P3,000; postal ID, and shoulder bag with perfume and necklace.*RG
