Back for good

I was reading leisurely when I received a call from the DAILY STAR asking for my column. Panic-stricken, I called up Girl and Chona to cancel our batchoy date. Earlier I had a lunch date with Monet and Tita Montelibano who is leaving again for a month's vacation in L.A. I thought my deadline was tomorrow yet.

After fourteen years as a wine steward of different luxury liners, Lyndon Tupas decided to stay in the cities of Bacolod and Sagay for good.

His yearly vacation always falls on his birthday. Family, relatives and friends always look forward to it as he always had something to give them, from places he visited.

It was supposed to be a surprise birthday celebration, until the lechon and caterer called up and checked what time was the celebration.

An L' shaped red and white long buffet table in their garden, a wine corner and dessert in another corner, were blessed by Msgr. Gigi Gaston before dinner was served. I was privileged to see his collection of nice figurines (Morano) and some cute knick-knacks like angels, bells and vases from the place he visited.

The Espinos Village Phase I Homeowners Association is part of the annual celebration commemorating the solemnity of St. Joseph, husband of Mary on March 19. It will sponsor a concert on March 17, at seven in the evening, at the Espinos Village Phase I.

Orca, a comedienne from Manila, backed up with our local band - The Checkmates, will perform. Part of the proceeds of this affair will be for the benefit of the Amity Fire Volunteers Fire Brigade.

Remember:

"Higher goals are rewards for previous achievements."*
